CRIMINAL CHARGES.

Christchurch, March G. 'A man named Arthur Duffey, alias Dunkley, was committed to the Supreme .Court to-day for sentence, having pleaded guilty to eigbt charges of theft. These included two motor bicycles, valued at £55 and £25 respectively ; bicycles valued at £22 (2), and £20. £10, and £4 : and one suit of clothes valued at £i 10a. Tbe thefts were from different people at different dates. Ernest Vaugban pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a cheque, and was also committed for sentence.
