GARRSION BAND CONCERT.

There was. a largo n.ttondance of the public at the Botanical Reserve yesterday afternoon, when tbo Garrison Band gave a very enjoyable perormarice. A collection was made in aid of the contest fund, a satisfactory "sum being realisod. Among the selections played were "The Gems of Schumann," "Birds in the Brook," "William Tell/ "Garland of Fowls' 1 (in connection with the death of! BandSraan Lamb), and the j contest march "N. 1. 8.8.A. " in j which tho marching evolutions were | gone through. The Band will give its- last concert before leaving for the contest at the same place en Thursday evening next, when a popular programme will be presented, including the contest selections, and solos, and a fancy drumming exhibition by Bandfmnn A, Berryman, ' ■■
