TO-DAi'S SPORTS. All th-3 arrangements for tbe"Nolson Amateur Swimming Club's sport-?, to bo held this afternoon are corapletod. The entries for all events are very good, and inatanding ' spectators may look forward to a most enjoyable afternoon's sport. The Club has received live entries for the ladies' race, an event which will be a novelty in Nelson. Any other lactios wishing to enter may do so on the day of the sports. The Committee has decided to add to trie programme a 100 yards race for the men of tho Australasian Squadron, at present in port, and as an inducement to tho men to enter Mr C. 11. Coote ha*, offered a trophy. It has, wo learn, attracted a large number of entries, as the men are very keen on swimming. This race should be especially interesting, as there are several of the riven capable of doing 68secs for the 100 yards. Other special attractions, are. tap Relay Race, the All SchotfftvCJhainpionship, and"the Polo Cbampipn3hip of Nelson. The handijaps are very good and shouU produce some splendid finishes.
