NELSON TROTTING CLUB.

ANNUAL RACE The annual race meeting of the Nelson Trotting'Ciub will be held at Richmond Park'on Wednesday next, the first race being advertised to start at 1 p.m. The Mayor has con sented to ask citizens to observe the weekly haJf holiday from noon, and yesterday afternoon a deputation from the Club waited upon the Railway Manager (Mr Thomas Edwards) in reference to train arrangemnts. Aftr consideration Mr Edwards promised to dsepatcn a special train from town at 12.30 p.m., and one from Richmond to Nelson at 5.30 p.m., which will enable visitors from town to attend the race's* and roach Nelson on the return at six o'clock. He also promised to arange for a train from Tad m or in the early morning, and to run the ordinary 4.45 p.m. train right through to Tadmor: As will be seen from the list published below, splendid acceptances have been recieved, and a successful meeting is assured.
