tThe Rev. Father Aubrey, on leaving Hokitika for Waimate, was presented with a purse of sovereigns by his congregation, also with handsome tokens of esteem by different organisations. Mr William Charles Nation has been appointed Coroner fcr the Levin district. The death is announced of Mr Stewart McFarlane, who was foreman engineer at Mr John Anderson's works at Ohristchurch for thirty-five years. Ho came to New Zealand in 1861.
