DEATH OF A JOCKEY.

Wellington, August Id., An inquest was held Ito-day con corning the death of Henry Fairbrother, the jockey who received fatal injuries at the last Trentham races through Prospector , the horse he rode in the Jumper's Flat Race, falling and bringing other horses down,. The evidence tendered went to show that the affair was a pure accident. Fairbrother had most of the ribs on his left side, and four on his right side, fractured. One of his legs was dislocated ,at the h,ipj and bis lung was ruptured. Tbe immediate cause of death was pneumonia. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
