Only three of the 15 clauses of the Evicted Tenants Bill were discussedin the House of Commons before they y?ere "guillotinedi' 1 Owing to many measures reaching the House of Lords with the clauses passed without discussion, Lord Uamperdown proposes that in future Bills should be so printed as to show what portions the House of Commons had closured. The King has sent a message to Parliament signed by his own hand recommending a grant of £50,000 to Lord Cromer"in recognition^ of hid eminent servicies in Egypt.
