Seoul, July 2. > Three Japanese warships at Cheniulpo have landed troops and bluejackets for Seoul. The Marquis Ito has presented Japan's proposals to the Korean Cabinet. Although Japan will not interfere with the security of the throne, it is believed that the conditions are of a revolutionary nature, judged from the consternation prevailing at the Court. Received July 27, 0.13 a.m. Seoul, July 26. After considerable opposition on the part of the Korean Court, a new Japanese-Korean convention has been signed, placing Korean administration under the guidance of the Japanese Resident General, who is authorised to appoint bis nominees to all responsible positions.
