London, July 24. At the wool sales the following were the average prices realised for the fleece portions of clips named:— LMoeraki, 12% d;. A%vhea, llj&d : W.D., lOJ^d. The sales closed firm ■it full rates. At the tallow auctions 1809 casks were offered, and 1239 were sold. Prices were unchannged, with an iccasional 3d advance. Receired Juy 25, 9.18 p.m July 25. The wool sold to Home buyers is _ 82,000 bales, to the Continent 55,000 bales. America 5000 bales, and there is held over 24,000 bales, including 19,500 bales of New Zealand. Compared with May closing rates best merinos, suitable for the American trade, are fully five per cent dearer. , Average sorts are slightly in sellers ' favor. Short faulty, especially ] scoured are a halfpenny to a penny « lower; good greasy crossbreds are firm and unchanged ; shabby faulty sorts decline fire to ten per cent; dlipes are in superabundant supply, the finest declined halfpenny to a penny, and medium one penny ; lamb best merinos unchanged; faulty merinos New Zealand crossbreds de- - clined a halfpenny to a penny. Tne average price realised for the fleece ( portion of the undermentioned clips ; were :— Ngakoni 11% d; flomewood lid.
