VISIT OF THE WARSHIP.
His Worship tbe Mayor and LieutColonel Joyce, 0. (1 D., paid an official visit to 11. M.5. Encounter yesterday morning and £were received by Captain Elliott, and exchanged courtesies. During; the visit of the warship torpedo and gunnery practice has been undertaken. This morning there will be further gunnery practice aftar the warship will proceed to Wellington and remain until the opening of Parliament and will .then proceed to Melbourne.^
