A FATAL TRAP ACCIDENT.

Napier, June 10. A fatal trap accideot occurred at Petane this erening. A trap containing two iuarried ladies, named Marshall, and the infant son of one of them, was proceeding tbrough a cutting near Waioroaiti, a short distance from Petane, w_en the horse attached to the trap commenced kicking,, with the result that the vehicle was capsized. The occupants were thrown out, and the baby was killed instantaneously, his skull bein£ fractured. The child was ten months old. Wanganui, June 10. A serious trap accident occourred in Victoria Avenue this afternoon resulting in serious injury to an elderly settler, Samuel Wilson, a resident of Mars Hill. As tbe result of a collision be was thrown out and sustained concussion. At a late hour this evening he had n,ot recovered consciousness.
