IMPERIAL CON FERENCE
London, June 9, The "Spectator " states that the Imperial Conference Blue Book shows that the Premiers were unable to realise freetraders' objection to giving preference, not out of love for foreigners, but because they did not wish to make boles io our tases, The paper adds that unproductive taxes were not for juggling States into wealth or for putting money iulto private pockets without benefitting tbe poor. The Blue Book also shows how unjust were the allegations of discourtesy towards the Premiers.
