THE VOLUNTEERS.
DISTRIOT CHALLENGE TROPHY The third' of the series of matches will take place to-morrow after* noon neit. Teams from the following corps will be engaged : — Nolson Rifles v Stoke Rifles (Stoke) ; Wakatu Mounted Rifles v NDEC (Toi Toi Valley) ; H Battery v Waimea Rifles (Brightwater). Shooting will commence at 2,30 p.m. The ranges for the matches are 300 and 600 yards. Any team unable to fire is requested to notify its opponent. The following will represent the H Battery in tlieir match against the Waimea Rifles :— Sergts. Brown, Sherwood, Jones, Corpl. Heath, Drivers Walker, Pennant, Stewart, Bomb. Kitchingman ; emergencies. Lieut. Dalziel and Gunner Akers. The following are the names of the team selected to represent the Nelson Defence Rifle Club in the match with the Wakatu Mounted Rifles, to be firocl at the Toi Toi Valley range to-morrow : — Milroy, Milner, Catley, Sherwood, Sharland, Smallbone, Bradley, and Kenning. The ranges are 300 and 600 yards, 10 shots; one sigh ter, not to count. After, the match is concluded, and if time allows, there will be practice for members of the Club.,
