WAKEFIELD.

The annual summoned meeting of the Mansion of Peace Lodge, 1, 0,0. P., MU.., was held in tho Lodge room, Wakefield, on Saturday evening last, when Bro S Mopkett, N.G., presided. An official visit was paid to the Lodge by Bro A N Batchelor, G.M. New Zealand Branch, and the District officers, Bros A Day, P.G.M., G Hammond, P.D.GM.., A. R Smart, C.S., and P G Bro P Oooke (Howard Lodge) was also present. The Auditor's report and balance sheet was read by the Auditor, Bro Eatchelor, showing the Lodge to have ma.de steady progress. The total funds (shillings and pence omitted) now stand at £5142, an increase of £240 after paying sick and medical benefits to the amount of £271 and funeral £62. The Management Fund stands at £54 and the Distress Fund at £25, with a total of 178 members. The Auditor paid a tribute to the Secretary, Bro Shuttleworth, for the excellent manner in which the books were kept. The following were elected delegates to the District meeting, to be held at Richmond :— P PGM, Bro Tunnicliffe; P G's, Bros P Higgins and W Hagen ; PS, Bro F E Shuttleworth. The officers for the year are— Bro H Wells, NQ; Bro Alfred Eden, VG ; Bro Allen Eden, ES. The officers were installed by G.M. Bro Batchelor. A hearty vote of thanks was "acaorded the visitors at the close of the Lodge.
