KEIR-FOOTE.
A very pretty wedding was celebrated at All Saints' Church on Novembar 26th by the Rev. J. P. Kempthorne, the contracting parties being Mr Archibald Keir, son of Mr D. Keir of Petone, and Miss Alice Footc, daughter of Mrs Foote, Wilden Lodge, Nelson. The bride, vho was given away by Mr H. Foote of Wangaaui, was charmingly attired in crepe de chine, handsomely trimmed with embossed chiffon, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. She was attended by three bridesmaids, Misses Myra Foote, sister of the bride (chief), Keir (sister of the. bridegroom) and Boon, each of whom was dressed in a dove crepe de chine and wore a pink satin straw hat. They also carried bouqets of pink ivy geraniums. Mr Frank McCabe carried out the duties of best man, Mr A. C. Olson of Petone acting as groomsman. As the happy couple left the church, the Wedding March was played by the organist, Mr Purcell Webb. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, when between seventy and eighty guests were entertained. The health of the bride and bridegroom was drunk, and the customary toasts honored. The bridegroom's present to the btide wag a handsome gold curb bangle, and to the bridesmaids gold bangles, while the bride's present to the bridegroom was a gold sovereign case. In the evening Mr and Mrs Keir left for New Plymouth, en route to the Wanganui river, where the honeymoon will be spent, carrying with thorn the good wishes of hosts of friend's. The bride's travelling dress was of pale blue check cloth, with hat to match.
