JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. ATHLETIC V. NELSON. The above match was finished on Thursday evening, and resulted in a win for the Athletics by 7 runs, after a vei-y exciting finish. The scores were :— A thletic, 308 and 79; Nelson 128 and 52. The chief scorers were W. Barnett 33 and.-11, S. Barnett 13 and 11, W. Ryder 34 and 16, and Harward 11 not out, for Athletics; and for Nelson, H. Miller 47 and 33 not out batted soundly, and Milliar 22, Canning 18 and Peene 12 also reached double figures. Bowling analysis: H. Miller 4 wickets for 20 runs, H. Canning 4 for 32 and 3 for 11 were the most successful of the Nelson bowlera, and Walker 5 for 39 and 6 for 17, and W. Ryder 2 for 25 bowled best for the winners.
