WEDDING BELLS.
On October 22nd an interesting Wedding took place in St. Jame's Church, Ngatimoti,as was evidenced by the number present and the prottily decorated church, the work of friends. .The Rev. W. G. Baker Was the officiating clergyman. The bride, Miss Muriel White, who was given away by her father, is the third daughter of Mr Alex. White, Craigholm, Ngatimoti, and was bacommgly dressed in cream cashmere trimmed with Paris silk, chiffon insertion, and lace; aslo wearing the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carrying a Bhower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom, Mr James Groom, of Gosport, Hampshire, England, was attended by Rev. J. I. Ttirnbull (brother-in-law to the bride, as bestnian,and Mr Alex. White, junr., groomsman. The bridesmaid, Miss White, was dressed in a handsome cruam armure trimmed with silk and lace, with hat to match. The bride wag also attended by her two younger sisters, Miss Amy, dressed in cream voile, and Miss Rosalie, in white Irish linen, and wearing gold pins, the gift of the bridegroom, also carrying, horseshoe bonquets. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a lovely gold watch chain, and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was an initial gold watch guard. Among the many presents wns a silver mounted brush and comb from the New Plymouth Hospital Nursing Staff, of which the bride was a member. After pbrtaking of afternoon tea with a few relatives and friends, the happy couple left Uraigholm for Nelson, on their way to Rahotu,Taranaki, their future home. The bride's travelling dress wag a neat tailor made costume of navy blue serge with cream facings and hat to match.
