NELSON AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLING CLUB,
A committee meeting of the N. A. A. and C. C. was held last evening in Mercer's Rooms. Present — Mr H. Milner, in the chair, Messrs Kitching, Thoraassou, Gilbert, R. Fell, Tunciclilfe. Lamb, J. Milner, and the Secretary (Mr G. Hogg. The following were appointed officials for the sports meeting on Wednesday next, 24th inst, in connection with the Trafalgar Day celebrations, to act in conjunction with permanent officials. Referees, Messrs O. Y. Fell G. A. Macquarie: Judges, Messrs G. M. Rout, F. M. Richmond, S. Bolton, and F. G. Gibbs: Starter, Mr J. C. Mercer; Lapscorers, Messrs Tophss, Lamb, and Rod worth ; Umpires, Messrs J.Scott, Tunnicliffe, and Duncan : "Call Stewards, Messrs J. Milner, C. Hamilton, Kitching and Thomasson ; Pres3 Steward, Mr R. Fell ; Result Board "officials, Messrs W. D. Chisholm, F. McUabe; Number Steward, Mt O. Hamilton ; Clerk of Course, Mr H. S. Tunnicliffe. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Press and Civil Servant? for a donation of £3 Ss 6d. being half net proceeds of recent return football matcn. With regard to a letter from the Nelson Centre New Zealand League of Wheelmen, it was decided to suggest an increased remuneration for official handicapper. The Secretary and Sub-committee reported that matters in connection with sports meeting next Wednesday were well forward. The entries are very satisfactory, and for the convenience of competitors the handicaps will be posted up on Saturday morning.
