The "Daily Telegraph" states that eight ships of the Royal Sovereign's type, the Nile, Trafalgar, Barfleur, and Centurion, forming the second reserve, with skeleton crews, will be replaced by nine ships of the Majestic type, two whereof are already in toserve fleet. Newer vessels are to succeed the Majesties iin the seagoing squadron. Thus the fleet will be numerically weaker, but more effective. mtmmmammmam^ SHIPPING. Launceston, October 8.
