CANTERBURY.
This (Thursday) afternoon resembled Sunday, all tho shops and business houses being closed. Largely attended memorial services wore held in the Cathedral and in Cranmer Square, after which the massed bands played the "Dead March" in Victoria Square. In all the townships memorial services were held.
