TAKAKA.

Fakaka, June 21. To-day (Thursday) was observed as a close holiday out of respect to our late Premier. The flags were flown at half-mast; and the business places drtped in mourning. A largely attended memorial service was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, at which tha Key. A. H. Heron gave an excellent address. The whole service -was mos'. impressive. The C/hurch bell tolled.
