WAI-ITI LITERARY SOCIETY.

At a meeting of the Wai-iti Literary Society, held on Monday last, Mr B. Cropp, in the chair, the followng resolution, proposed by Messrs E. S. Hoult and P. Higgins, was ! unanimously agreed to: — That this Soeiety, having heard with profound and sincere regret of the death of the Right Hon. R. J. Seddon, wishes to place on record i(3 appreciation of his long and self-denying labors in the cause of the Empire in general, and this Colony in particular, and expresses its sincere sympathy with his family in their sudden bereavement, and that this meeting adjourn as a token of respect.
