CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
Auckland, February 14. The Annual meeting of the Congregational Union of New Zealand began to-day. In the afternoon the 3 committee received the annual report, which was read by the Eev. \ W. It was learned with joy thafc their Wellington friends contem- , plated commencing work in a new ' district, Eeferring to fche revival spirit of the present day, the ( report stated that the , church had nofc been without its in- j fluence and witness, and Ministers had felt called to a renewed con- . secration and prayerfulness. • An earnest desire had been awakened in many of the churches to seek salvation, ; and the new Committee was pleased to receive a communication from Australia inviting the New Zealand Congregational Union to co-operate with the Australian Unions in requesting the Rev. Dr. W. J. Dawson to visit Australasia. He was willing to come early in 1907, subsequently arrangements in connection, with Dr.. Dawson's visits were transferred to the Evangelical Conference, of .Australasia. 7 7 '. ,r The report was actopted. ' " '
