A meeting was held last night to consider a full dress battalion uniform, and it was decided by a good majority to suggest green as the color with black facings, Austrian knot on sleeve, slouch hat and plumes, and gold mountings. Mr S. Kirkpatrick, who is a most practical honorary member of the Corps, sent to the camp a bountiful supply of jam, conserves, and sauce, and the Corps are keenly alive to his kindnss. Likewise Mr Geo. Griffin, on behalf of Messrs Griffiin and SotiSj Limited, forwarded a tin of their well-known 20th Century biscuitSi and Messrs H. R. Duncan and J. A. Harley have also notified their intention to make presentations. At a cribbage tournament played at the camp last night between the the Nelson Defence Club aud the jNelson Rifles, the former won eight games and the latter five. At the conclusion of the contest, the Captain of the Defence Club thanked the Nelson Rifles for their kind invitation and hospitality shown.
