Dunkdin, May 21. The Dunedin Jockey Club's Winter Meeting commenced to-day, in beautiful weather, but the attendance was only fair. The course was soft and heavy. The sum of £3507. Was put through the totalisator, against £4847 last, year; The results were i— • First Hurdles: Huku 1, Dorriiant 2, Roller 3 ; £i l2s and £i 10s (ten shilling tickets). Hack Handicap : Khaki 1, Yseult 2, Red Peony 3 ; dividends, £12 18s and £6 9s. Birthday Handicap: Canteen 1, Lady. Lillian 2, Terrapin 3 ; dividends; £3 16s and £1 6s. Maiden Plate : Clanburn 1, Kotokoto 2, Gunshot 3 ; dividends, £1 12s and 16s. Winter Welter : Ardnarff 1, First Light 2, Lapidiary 3 ; dividend, £2 Bs. Selling Race: Kotokoto 1, Gold Ring 2. VandyKe 3 ; dividends, £2 6s and £1 2s. Tradesmen's Handicap : Wind Whistle 1, Red Gauntlet 2, Donna Rosa 3 ; dividend, £3 6s.
