Welcomed at Auckland*
Auckland, May 21. The Governor of New South Wales, Vice-Admiral Sir Harry Holdsworth Eawson, X.C.8., arrived by the San Francisco mail steamer. His Excellency is accompanied by Lady Rawson and Miss Rawson, and Mr H. W. H. Rawson. Captain Alexander, A. D. C\ . to . Lord. Banf urly, waited upon Sir H. Rawson on. board the mail steamer, and a little later on his Excellency was driven to Government House, and subseqently ground the city and to the top of Mt. Eden. During the morning the Mayor also paid an official visit to the mail steamer for the purpose of welcoming Sir H. Rawson to Auckland. His Excellency proceeded to Sydney with the mail steamer.
