Bible Teaching in Schools.
. . Auckland, May 21. A meeting of the General Committee of the Society for the Promotion of Bible Teaching in State Schools was held this morning, and attended by the ministers of the Anglican and Protestant It was resolved that the Society should be composed both of ministers and lay men, and that layman should be eligibe for election on the Executive Committee ; that each congregation" b<s lnvite'd to elect one layman to serve on the General Committee. Sunday, 15th June, was appointed the day on which all ministers should bring the objects of the Societybefore the congregations. It, was 'decided that .a public meeting. shpuld be held in all centres of population to advance the objects ox the Society.
