SUPREME COURT.
YESTERDAY. Before His Honor the CriiEP Justice (Sib Robert Stout). The case of Percy G. Hawkins versus the Slate River Sluicing Company was resumed when the evidence for the plaintift wa* Sonclud ed> j Mr Gully for the defendant Company ! raised the question of a nonsuit, and asked I his Honor for a ruling on the point that according to the specifications, the decision of the Engineer was binding and final. A length y argument , ensued,, and finally his Hondr reserved his decision, also on the point raised on the previous day, as to the jurisdiction of the Court. Mr Gully then opened the case for the defence, addressing the Court at some length. He afterward called Messrs Fitzgerald, Maxwell, and Siever. The lalter's evidence was not concluded at six o'clock, when it was decided to adjourn the case until ten o'clock on Thursday morning. The Court then rose until ten o'clock this morning,
