THE MAYOR'S FUND.

The following additional amounts have been received by the' Mayor:— Thos. York, £1 ; G A Macquarie, £2 2s ; L Levien, £1 ; John Hale, £1 ; Stephen Vosper, 10s. Per J E Hounsell & Co.— T AB,2s ; F Milncr, &T.A, £1 ; Mrs N T Patterson, £1 Is ; Mrs H Dodson. £1. Per Mr R Snodgrass— Loyal, Is ; H Henrnan, 5s ; J Crump, £2 ; Miss Bell, 10s ;J A Cross, ss. Per Mr B H Moller— Bisley Bros & Co., £5 ss; J K Strachan, £1 Is; MM Webster, £1 Is ; R White, £1 Is; Bisley Bros & Co.'s employees, £2 3s 6d; G Field, £1 Is; G M Simpson, 10s ; A Friend, 4s ; H S Hou^h 10s. Total, £490 16s 7d. The following additions bring up the Post Office list to £9 5s 6d :— W Short, £1 Is ; JP,5s ; C Deverell, 10s ; H G O'Beirne £-5. Mr W R May informs us that be has forwarded £3 additional to the Canterbury " More Men" Fund, making £8 in all. NGATIMOTI. Our correspondent writes :— A very successful concert was held in the Ngatimoti school last evening in aid of the Patriotic Belief Fund. Local talent was assisted by friends from Motueka, Miss Delaney, Mrs Moffatt, Messrs W. and P. Moffatt, A. Grooby, Franklyn, and King, and from Lower Moutere, Misses Herrick, and Demmeht, Messrs Easton and K. Tarrant. Mr Easton was chairman. I understand that about £6 10s was taken at the door, and as the expense will be small nearly the whole of this amount will be handed to the fund.
