ATHLETIC lIV. UNITED "B".

This fixture was played in the Park on Saturday and ended in a win for the Athletics by 201 runs on the first innings. The United's first innings closed for 58, and the Athletics went in and established a junior record by scoring 260 runs. The chief scorers for the winners were : Croudis 65, E. Livick 44, McCabe 32, R. Haase 30, Glover 28, and L. Livick 22, whilst for the losers Bolton 19, Bond 16, and Walker 15, batted well. Sherwood and Bolton bowled best for the United, and Haase and Livick did the bowling for the Athletics. The United batted four men short.
