Acclimatisation of Virginian Quail

Wellington, January 18. About 700 Viaginian quail arrived by the Mariposa, and 4 crates shipped to Wellington by the Mapourika. one crate being retained in Auckland. The birds are in much better condition than the previous shipment, but some died on the passage.
