OHILDBEN'S FETE COMMUTES.

About twenty Stale and Sunday Sohool teachers met at tbe Council Chambers on Saturday af.ernoon. The Bey S. F. Prior explained tbe objeot of the meeting. Besolved, That Mr W. T. Bond be Chairman of the Committee, Mr Selby be the Secretary, and Mr E Cowlaa the Treasurer. Tbe Bey S. F. Prior Btated the proposed arrangements by tbe General Committee for the forenoon of Tuesday, June 22nd, and said the Children's C-mmit cc were expeoted to arrange a programme for the amusement of the ohi'dren on the afternoon of that d >y.

Messrs G. Talbot, E. Cowles, and William Coleman stated that they were a deputation appointed to attend and invite tbe Committee and tbe children to come to Biohmond oa the day B-t apart for the children's fete. They stated that the Biohmond Park would be granted by Mr B. M'Bae for tbat day free of oharge. They thought the town ohildren would like a run out into the country.

After come disaussion, it was resolved to agree with the General Committee's arrangements for Tuesday, June 22nd. It was unanimously resolved, Tbit it be recommendation to the General Committee, if possible, iv addition to tbe arrangement* proposed for Tuesday, June 22, that the invitation from Biohmond for a Children's day at Biohmond Park be acaepted.

The deputation stated that a demonstration of the country children would be held at ♦ Biohmond Park whether the town joined in or not. They would like to see a united demonstration of town and oountry children.

Besolved, That tbe medal seleoted by the Medal Committee be approved of, and that i be recommended that sufficient of the medals be procured to giva each onild that may ba in the procession ou Tuesday, June 22nd, one.

lt was oonsidered tbat, even if a sma charge was made for the meda's, a number should be procured for distribution.

Besolved, That Mrs Howie and Misa Harris be added to tbe Committee.

Besolved to adjourn until Tuesday evening next, at 7.30, at the Counoil Chamber.

Ie is hoped tbat there will be a full attendance at tbe meeting to-morrow evening, when the various sub-Committees will be set up.
