Some of the floral designs are admirable, and inolude in imitation of a roller, of a bult;rfly, of a lamp, and of a bellows. As a clas\ tbe bouquets Bre very good, many of them being exquisite, and tbe buttmhotes must have given tbe judges very great (rouble before they j rrived at their d cisiona. lh?re are aleo baskets of flowen and wall decorations. la cut blooms some of the roses were very fine and Messrs Fiv6n, Hale, L'olton and Mrs Me riok s cured the chief honors. Amongst the vegetables were inc'uded an exceptionally fine lot of pMatoee, and the cauliflowers and lettu en were far above the average One auliflower was ibiexhted that weighed 211bs. Then the cabbages, the broad beans and some remarkably early French beans, the rhubarb, carrots, asparagus and turnips were all very good indeed. Some fine cucumbers were shown, and some skinless peas shown by Mr Geo Batchelor, attracted attention, while the several dishes of fine tomatoes commanded admiration. The collections of vegetables were exceptionally good. Fruit was represented by eight dishes of red currants, and one only of white, by a large number of exhibits of cherries, and also of gooseberries, by lemons and oranges, while there were bottled fruits, jams, and dried and candied fruits, tbe appearance of which could not be excelled. Jars of pickles and honey were also shown amongst the sundries. An exhibit of a branch of olives in flower, and of the fruit as well as a bottle of olive oil — all shown by Mr Johnston of Aniseed Valley, attracted much attention. The judges for the bouquets, button holes, designs, etc., were Miss Cock, Mrs Bannehr, and Mrs Calders ; for the cut flowers and fruits, etc, Mr Bolton, junr, and Mr S. Bolton in certain classes ; and for sundries, Mr E. F. Bisley. In the afternoon tea was provided by Miss Bell, who was assisted by Miss Gascoigne, and in the evening there was vocal and instrumental music, Mrs and Miss Greenfield playing selections on the piano that were much appreciated, and vocal solos were contributed by Miss H. Reeves and Mr S. Trask, and which elicited hearty applause. Much credit is due to Mr S Bolton, junr, who undertook the staging of the exhibits, and to those who assisted him, foremost amongst whom was Mrs Jlerrick, and we have to thank the hon. Secretary, Mr Mansford, who was hard at work all day, for the courtesies extended to our representative. The Show will be open from 3 till 5 to-day, and from 7 till 10.
