The first day's racing of the Auckland Trotting Club's summer meeting was held today at Potter's paddock. The racing was good, and the attendance was about 2,500. £2896 was put through the totalisator in 10s tickets. The following are the results : —

Maiden Pony Handicap — Topsail 1, Topsy 2, Siwah 3. Dividend £2 Bs.

Maiden Trot Handicap — 0 Koroire (28secs) 1, Bendigo (28secs) 2, Lusitania (scr) 3 Dividend £1,

Pony Cup Handicap, 70 soys— Bit of Fashion 1, Romeo 2, Sneak and Topsail (dead heat) 3. Dividend £2 Os. Handicap Maiden Hurdles— The Dove 1, Fresid 2, Penguin 3. Dividend £1 2s

Telephone Handicap — Romeo 1, Cupid 2, Single Barrel 3. Dividend £1 7s.

First Handicap Maiden Trot, Msovs (in harness) — Lusitania (ssecs) 1, Hazelwood (30 sees) 2, Wallace D (25secs) 3. Dividend 16s.

December Handicap, 35 soys — Sneak 1, Cupid 2, Effie 3. Dividend £1 10s.

Epsom Trot Handicap (in harness) — Little Ben (7 sees) 1, Duke (scr) 2, Wahinepai (7 sees) 3. Dividend £18.
