NELSON AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLING CLUB.

The Committee of the N.A.A and CC held a meeting last evening, Mr Mercer in the chair.

Messrs T Neale, W Pike and J Strouts were elected active members.

Mr C R Morton promised a prize for the next sports meeting, the offer being accepted with thanks.

It was resolved in deference to a request made, that the date of the sports meeting be altered to Wednesday, the 30th September.

Resolved that the following gentlemen be asked to officiate at the sports meeting ta be held on the 30th September : — Referee, Mr C V Fell ; Stewards, Drs Roberts and Leggatt, and Mr C Hariey; Finish Judges, Messrs F Trask (Mayor), P Adams and G A Macquarie; Starter, Mr W S Littlejohn ; Result Board Official, Mr C Morton ; Marksmen, Messrs F Gibbs, J Pollock, C Broad, J Boon ; Press Steward. Mr A. W. Shal.'cr&ss ; Lap floorers, Meßsrs Topliss, Burnes and J Sharp junr; Marshall, Sergt MoArdle ; Clerk of the c ourse, Mr W B Walker ; Call Stewards, Messrs A Dee, H Sigley, and E S Cresswell ; Timekeeper?, Messrß Moyes, Hunter and Krrr ; Handle uppers, (cycling) Messra Meroer and Simpson, (running), G R Simpson and W N Poole.
