Stoddart deolared the innings olosed with six wickets down for 289. Ford was not out for 111, nnd Lockwood not out for 60. This left England 298 to get to win, but they made a wrotobed stand, and were all disposed of for 68, leaving Stoddart's eleven victors by 224 runs. The eoores in the Eeoood innings of the England tsam were : — Grace 8, Abel 6, Davideon 5, Shewsbury 1, Lilley 2, E. W Read 18, Woods 6, Townsend 8, Pougher 2, Mar in 7, Mold 1 ; extraß 4 ; Total 68. Riobardaou took 9 wiokets for 21. and Peel 4 for 43.
