Several of the Betters ire raising objections in respeot to the last three dredging claims applied fo', their ground being Jbat they fear their proparties will be damaged. I oannot, of course, give an opinion on the oase until after the Warden has heard the eases, bat th-.n I will furnish you with fuller particulars, as the matter is of very great importance, and maiy miles of the river are affected. I believe they have a fine property. A meeting was held at Rockviila on Tuesday evening, the object beiDg to see whether anything oao be done either in the way of praventing the moving about of the uew traction engine lately imported by Mr W. Grant, sawmiller, or in iha way of limiting the houra dating which it may be moved. The Parepara Sluioing Company has nearly finished repairing the bridge at Glengyle, and they expect to bave the Water ranoing in their pipes this week.
