News from Fiji.
, Auckland, May 10. i Arrived— Taapo, from Fiji. A report is current at Suva that a company with a capital of £50,000 is to be formed ia Sydney for the extracting of oil from copra. A horrible murder ia reported from one of the Fijißn inland distrio's, an Indian ooolie having billed his wife. Her head was almost Bevbred from her body, the spine was broken, and a big gash was n ade sbout three inches wide from the left lower jaw, whiob is broken, round tbe baok to the other jaw. There are two deep soalp wounds ani several deep outs on both arms. The murder ia stated to have been perpetrated by a free coo'ie named Ben. 'J he rtason for tbe deed is said to be jealousy.
