RIWAKA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meating of the Board was held oa Saturday, the 6th instant, when there were present Messrs Bate, Fry, Drummond, Maomahon and Bawling. The minutes of the previous monthly meeting were read and adopted, and accounts for £18 3s 6d wete passed for payment. Mr James Mickell made a personal explanation anent the reduction of bia account by the Board at the previous meeting, and returned the oheque which had been forworded to him, declining to accept the proferred amount. A letter was received from the Motueba Koad Board anent the levying of an additional one-fifth of a penny for Hospital and obarllable aid by the County Gonnoil, urging the claima of the Boards in the County for an increased refund from the Council, and inviting co-operation in the matter. The final consideration of the letter was deferred, pending the obtaining of certain information bearing on the question.
