Chbistohuboh, October 6. Business in grain and during the week ball been restricted, but at the close rather more animation ia shown. Wheat is steadily going int) consumption, but buyers are apathetic. Oata have not been offering freely, but trade ia ohiefly oonfined to local requirements. Beans and peas are going forward ohiefly on ownera* account. Ryegrass and cocksfoot still continue to move in small lines. Clover seed ia now in fow bands and prioea are well maintained. Potatoes hava receives little attention, and buyers have no difficulty in placing thair orders at quotations. Dairy produce is unchanged. Oaten sheaf chaff is in demand for export. Present quotations; f. o. b., Lytteltoa, sacks eutra :— Wheat— Prime milling, Pearl, Velvet, or Tuaoan, 2s Bd, 2s 9d ; Hunter's, 2a 7d 2s 8d : seeond-olass, Id to 2d per bushel less. Oats— Seed or milling Canadians, la 8d to Is 9d ; short feed, Is 6d to Is 7d ! Duns, Is 6Jd to Is 7H ; Danish, Is 5d to Is 63. Barley —None offering.
