PARISH COUNCILS BILL.
London, January 2. The Unionist Party in the House of Commons agree to assist ihe Government in passing the Parish Councils Bill by the 19th ust, on the Government agreeing to modify the Constitution of the Boards of Guardians and limiting the powers of Parish Councils in hiring lands for allotments to one acre of arable land and three of pastoral, and otherwise protecting owners against injustice. The Radical end some of the Conservative Party are much incensed at the aotion of the Unionists, but the terms of compromise will probably be observed by a majority both in the House of Commons and the House of Lords*
