After tea, various amu3ement9 were indulged in till dark, when indoor games, maeio, sirging, etc, completed an exceedingly enjoyable gathering. These annual partie3 furnißh a moat agreeable outing, ond espeoial thanks are due to Mr and Mrs Dyson, who so ungtudingly do all in their power to ensure BucceesThe keen desire expressed so often this season to foster junior orioket, evidently has certain limitations. When the Bright water Cricket Olub duly forwarded their subscription, the same was returned, on the grounds that couatry matoheß (Stoke, for example) ooald not be arranged. The Brigbtwater Criokat Olub are trying to evince the proper spirit, though when a team of almost uq tried members work hard with the intention of entering lor the cap, the • fostering ' seems rather a delusion. Juat now haymaking and measles are oooupying fairly well the attention of seniors and juniors respectively.
