EXTENSION OF BUSINESS.

We learn thai Messrs Bisley Bros, and Go., auctioneers and general merohants, of Hardy street, are about to make extensive additions to their premises, in order to meet the growing requirements of their business. They have instructed Mr Bethwaite to prepare plane for a large file of buildings, to cover nearly the whole of the vacant plot o! ground situate to the west of their present extensive warehouse. These new premises will have a frontage on the south to Hardy street, and on the east and north to private Btreets, wbioh are about 20 feet wide. The buildings will contain provision for three suites of offioea, which, we understand, are already let for a good term to Messrs Bing, Harris and Co., merohants, of Dunedin, to Mr A. A. Soaife, of Nelson, and to Mr A. T. Maginnity, of tfelson, respectively. Provision will also be made for a large sample room and for two offices, whion wiil be available for commercial travellers. The main structure, however, will be a large building, 80 by 48 feat, to be used by Messrs Bisley Bros, as a store for hops, grain, wool, &0., and also for the sale of carriages, drays, machinery, and other heavy class goode. The total frontage of the buildings to Hardy street will be 74 feet, 48 of which will have a depth of 112 feet, and the remaining 26 feet a depth of 48 feet. The offices will have both front and side entrances, and the large building at the baok will have three entrances, one from, each i street. Provision will &lpo be made for pens and stalls for the reception of horses, cattle, and other live stock sent in for sale. The enterprise thus being shown by Messrs Bisley i Bros &Co affords proof that they have full ■ faith in the future of Nelson, as well as of their determination to share in the increasing prosi perity of the district.
