FOOTBALL.
[BX TOUOH-UNB.] Teams from the Nelson and Prince Albert Clubs met at Trafalgar Fark on Saturday, when the former scored an easy win, defeating she Bed and Blues by 10 points to love. This severe defeat of the onoe premier Club was in a great measure due to the absence of several of their senior men, and to the team being so muoh out of form, {this latter fact being very noticeable. The Nelson men were in good fettle, and played an excellent game. Green* field crossed the enemy's line on two occasions, once after a pretty run threugh the Albert backs ; Riley aud Cresswell also scored, the latter going past his opponents in his usual surprising style. Harper's place kicking was admirable ; Barltrop's long shot at goal for the Alberts was also an excellent one. On the north ground the Junior Gup was competed for, the contesting teams being from the Nelson and Albion Clubs. The latter proved easy winners, and registered no less than seven tries against their opponents' nil. Some of the tries were scoured under the goal posts, but the place kicking was 0! the poorest description, and no one could pat the leather over the bar. Bradehaw secured two tries, E. Biohards 2, W. Richards 2, and Grant 1. By this win the Alhions have the honor of holding the Rugby Union's trophy for another year.
