NEW ZEALAND TRADE AND BEVENUE.

The following interesting information is taken from the tables attached to the Financial Statement delivered by the Colonial Treasurer this year •— Impobts and Expobts. The following is a return of the value of Imports and Exports for each Province for the financial year ended 30th June. 1873 :—

Fiax. ■ The following return shows the value of New Zealand Phormium or Flax exported during the undermentioned periods; also how the flax' trade has been extended :—

Bats pbb Hbad of Imposts akd Expobts. The following return gives the total average value of Imports and Exports of Victoria, New South Wales, and New Zealand, for the six years ending 31st December, 1871, with the rate per head of population :—

The following return shows the average value of Gold, Wool, Grain, and other Agricultural Produce (including Flour, Butter, and Cheese), Timber, and Flax, exported from the Colonies of Victoria, New South Wales, and New Zealand, for the five years ending 31st December 1871, with the rate per head
