Fisk, junior, the great railroad speculator, was shot by Edward Stokes in the Vestibule of the Grand, Central Hotel, New York. Three shots struck him, and he expired next morning. Stokes was arrested. The grand jury has found an indictment against Stokes and Miss Mansfield for attempt to levy black mail from Fist. Fisk's funeral procession was more a mile long.
The revolution in Mexico continues. A despatch from Mier states that Trevisio will move on Linares with 10,000 men, to attack Matamordo. Henegosa, with 600 men, will co-operate. Queoroga retired from Mier, Cortina, going to occupy that place.
A great snow storm has occurred on the Central Pacific Railroad. The passengers turned cut of the carriages and shovelled snow for three days. Twenty locomotives were smashed in cloughing through the snow drifts. There was not & single snow-plough on the Union Pacific. One gentleman, who had had nothing to eat for several days, became sick, and was charged half a dollar for a cup of coffee, and the same for a loaf of bread. Some of the passengers were fourteen days on the train.
