THE FIRST MAIL BY THE SAN FRANCISCO ROUTE.
Thk first home mail 'via San Francisco is notißed to close at Nelson on the 30th instant. In future all correspondence for the United Kingdom, &c, will be forwarded via San Francisco, unless specially endorsed via Suez. The rates of postage on correspondence for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be similar to those charged via Suez and Southampton, viz : —6d. per half-ounce letter; newspapers, Id. each. .
