THE SECOND FIGHT
■ Napier telegrams of Sundny say that fifty, five of the enemy were killed by the friendly natives in a fight which took place at a spot six miles from the scene of last Wednesday's engagements.
The Charybdis lias arrived at Napier, and proceeds to Poverty Bay.
There is no further news from Wanganui
or Pa tea,
SERIOUS POSITION OF THE PANAMA. MAIL COMPANY.—SEIZURE OF THE MATAURA.
A petition lias been presented to the Court of Chancery by the creditors of the Panama Company, praying that an order be issued for winding up the company.
The steamer Rakaia has just arrived from Sydney. She reports that the Mataura has been seized in Sydney.
