REWARDS OFFERED FOR TITO KOWURA AND OTHER REBELS.

The Neto Zealand Advertiser of Nov. 30, states: —

" A meeting was held at the Freemason's Hall, Wanganui, on Saturday evening last, to consider the advisability of forming one or more parties of Volunteers to act as a guerilla force against the enemy, and for the protection of the outlying districts. " Col. Haultain agreed to all the suggestions that hod been made as to the terms upon which the men would tuke. service. They are as follows : —

' 1. The Bushi'anging Volunteers will be enrolled under tho Volunteer Regulations of New Zealand, but for three mouths only. The services of the Corps

may, however, bo dispensed with at any time if the Col. commanding finds fcliat they are not doing their duty. The Bushranging Volunteers will, in addition to regular militia pay receive Is. per diem extra while serving. ' 2. The B. Vs. will be under the ordera of Colonel Whitmore, and their duties will be to act a3 scouts, to harass the enemy, cutting off stragglers, destroying provisions and crops, and generally obtaining information of the whereabouts of the enemy, and keeping the front of the Field Force clear of the enemy's scouts, foraging parties and spies. ' 3. Each man will be armed with a breech-loader and revolver. ' 4. A premium will be given by the Government of £5 for every man or lad belaying to the oneiny, brought in alive by the "B. Vs., whother such prisoner be wounded or not. A special reward of £1000 is offered for the person of Tito Kowaru. ' 5. The corps may be divided into parties of no less than 20 men each, and one officer, aud the usual proportion of N. C. officers will be allowed for every such party. ' 6. By the regulation, Volunteers or their families are entitled to the benefits of the Military Pension Act. '(Signed,) T. M. Haultain. ' November 23rd, 1868.' " The Wellington Evening Post says:—" The Defence Minister has agreed to the undermentioned sums for arms captured from the rebels : —For a Government rifle or breechloader, £1; for a doublebarreled gun or revolver, in serviceable condition, 10s.; for a single-bai-reled gun in good condition, 55."
