ERECTION OF REDOUBTS IN THE WAIRARAPA DISTRICT.
The Wellington Evening Post of "Nov. 28th, states: —"There are four redoubts to be erected at Wairarapa—one at MasteHon, one at Featherstou, one at Taretahi, and one at Gh-eytown. Ngairo says he will put one up also near Musterton, and all agree that it would be a fur wiser plan to have a depflb of 30 or 40 trained Constabulary, who could act as a guard over the arms and ammunition, be read? to warn the outsettlers in case of disturbances, and could be drafted off to tho Front as casualties might occur. Majors Smith and Bunny M-o those who advocate the creation of the earthworks."
